5th. Grade Language Arts Project: Mohegan Tribe

Nicolas had to create a 3D model with the following guidelines:

  1. The name of the tribe
  2. What type of home the assigned tribe lived in
  3. Clothing worn by the tribe
  4. The different crafts the tribe created
  5. The tribe’s food
  6. Method of transportation

Below are some of the pictures and information on the tribe he randomly selected.

A 5th. Grade Diorama
The Mohegan comes from the Mohegan word mohiingan, which means wolf.
The Mohegan people –not to be confused with the Mohicans- consist of many originally independent tribes including the Pequots and Montauks.
