More Feathers on day 10 after Hatching: Monday, June 17, 2013

This baby bird joined our family on Wednesday June 12, 2013. He/She is thriving and it's a lot stronger. He/she has started imprinting on us and responding to our whistling. She is thriving on her dry food compote diet and lots of feathers keep growing and she is just doing great. Her/his wing feathers are fanning out and it looks so cute with that featherless rear.

On Sunday after dropping off the boys at Nancy's and when when Nicolas and I came back from her house, Jason came out to greet us with a crying baby bird inside the halloween wired basket. He had this silly grin on his face. I told him we should have had another baby and he told me we should have more birds.

Have fun looking at baby bird's pictures!

  • Jason loves this tiny bird as much as he loves Jamie I think it's just that longing for one more newborn human that Jason and I decided not to go for. We thank nature for the alternatives it provides. Jason loves this tiny bird as much as he loves Jamie

  • Lavina in her flex Halloween pumpkin bag, the bag makes it easy to carry her around. It still eats around the clock every 20 to 40 minutes. Lots of wing flapping going on and I believe imprinting is secured. Lavina in her flex Halloween pumpkin bag, the bag makes it easy to carry her around.
