Lavina our male Sparrow has a playmate, I found her on the front fender of a pick up truck in the parking lot of the building at work. I was feeding the birds bread crumbs when I saw this younger bird bring a piece of bread to her. She was so small but I couldn't tell whether she was a fledging already flying or one of those nestlings.

This is her second Friday with us and she is already flying. This is also the second night she sleeps in the enclosed balcony with cousin Jamie. The first night we closed the gate to the carrier but last night I left it open and in the morning she was outside unassisted and perching around with cousin Jamie. Have fun watching Lavina grow up and become friends with Jamie!
